Lil Brit Knits hand-knit cupcakes and tea tarts
Nicky O'Reily of Colorado grew up in England and loves to continue her English heritage by creating these sweet play-time treats. Hand-knit and easy to care for, these are great for babies up through toddlers, who love to pretend to have tea parties.
Nicky has three children and has been knitting for many years.
Cloth Diapers from Eli Monster
I love these cute diapers... they are "all in one" diapers, which means that there is no insert - it's all one piece. There's nothing to prep and nothing to do other than put the diaper on your baby, and that's that. When it's time for washing, just fold over the velcro tabs and throw in the wash.
They are made of soft micro-terry, which draws moisture away from baby's skin, with absorbent layers inside to hold the wetness. The outer layer is waterproof PUL. No covers, no pins are necessary.
These are very easy to care for, and perfect for anyone who wants to try out cloth diapers as an eco-friendly and cost-saving alternative to disposable diapers.
For more info on cloth diapers, email me at wearetheoutfit@gmail.com for an e-brochure.

Color Theory Beanbags

Harper Reed (made by H.E.R.) had the genius idea to make learning basic colors easy for kiddos.
One side has two circles, such as blue and yellow. Turn the beanbag over to see a side that is green, helping kids to learn that yellow and blue make green.
They come in a set of three and are great for babies up through elementary-age kids.

Natural Teethers for baby by Babus
Yay! Hooray! More things for play! And for the wee ones this time -
Michelle in Silver Springs, MD makes these wonderful teething rings for babies from silky smooth wood and durable cotton. She hand-knits the colorful cotton, which many babies love to gnaw on while getting their new teeth! The soft wood helps get those chompers in as well. These are washable and durable, and all natural - no worries about toxic plastic here!
California is on fire
It was a sad sight on Saturday... sitting in our little store on Broadway, seeing the ash fall. "Mommy! It's snowing on our car!" said Elliette with excitement. But the heat, the smoke... it is not a happy snow storm. The fires have devoured a lot.
No one was out Saturday. It definitely was not a cheerful environment.
Incidentally, the mannequins on the sidewalk stayed outside for a very brief time, just enough time to say hello to the neighborhood before being dragged back in, for fear of them acquiring a dusting of ash and that cozy campfire smell.... except we're not camping.
The view down the street was amazing, my little camera did not do justice. The blanket of smoke above had a definitive boarder of blue beyond - the promise of fresh air, hopefully, the fires being squelched.
Pinafores by m.o.m.

m.o.m. now offers size "tiny" for about 3t-sized lasses. These three pinafores arrived recently. I love how each pinafore is unique and special. Each pinafore has an uplifting message on the inside, so we can all get some enouragement to start our day.
