Launch party planned for July 12th in Santa Ana.

I'm really excited to be working with Harveys  to coordinate a launch party at the Santa Ana location on July 12th. the Outfit will be making our formal introduction to customers, and Harveys is unveiling their Little Collection for kids.

Kait Emerson Designs will be there for a Trunk Show. Designer/owner Feanna Otta will be on hand with her extensive collection of hand-made high-end and high-fashion pieces for girls and boys.

Modern Frill Photography will also participate, with photographer Christina Cronin-Vejar showcasing her business and her unique style of childrens and family photography.

There will be inter-active events for the kiddos, and a guaranteed good time for all. A raffle is planned, so be sure to get there to win some fantastic stuff!

Mommy n Me Sets from the Outfit

We made a re-issue of some popular styles featuring Mark's artwork, and made them into matching Mommy N Me sets. Mommy's shirt is soft heather green with a spot of blue, and a one-line drawing of a bird taking off in flight. This is one of my favorite images that Mark has made, and the intricate drawing is beautiful. For kiddos, the nest is on brown for toddlers, soft yellow for babes. The eggs in the nest are robin's egg blue.

Both of these styles were created separately in the past, and our whole family has these shirts. We haven't all worn them to Disneyland.... yet. We decided it'd be fun to feature matching sets for Mother's Day. These are available at our Long Beach location, kids up to 4t, mom small - extra large.

Father's Day sets are in production now... they're just as fun!

KLT Works: New styles

We just received another shipment from Kristin at KLT Works, and I couldn't be more cheerful about it. She has put her thread drawings onto bright and cheery tanks, in sizes 3/6month up to 12/18month.

These photos show her little boy Sayer modeling these happy wears. She has also added some organics to the line. Kristin, her husband, and baby Sayer live in Washington.

Wood Blocks from the Aquarium

Sarah Maanpaa made these fantastic blocks out of scraps of wood, made them ultra smooth, and finished them with mineral oil and beeswax, so they are safe and non-toxic for kiddos to gnaw on, as they do tend to act like goats for some time and chew on anything and everything. (Emmett's current gnaw-obsession: shoes. yuk.)

Sarah is re-locating to Southern California this summer, and we're glad to have her as a neighbor! She studied architecture at UCLA. She is a mom to a two year old.

Go Monkey -- new styles from a best seller

The French Pant from Go Monkey has quickly become a best seller at the Outfit shop, and a favorite of all who sport them. They're super comfy and durable, and wash-n-wear beautifully.

There are two new styles coming into the fold, the French Lounger, which has a cropped leg and a roomy seat, perfect for girls or boys who love to climb. Also, the Pirate Pant is joining the racks for the treasure hunter in your pack.

Sizes range from 6 months to 3T in store, and special orders can be placed for up to child's size 6. The price is right, too, they average at $35.

LA local Earth Groovz comes to the Outfit

Kerry Dashnaw of Earth Groovz lives in Los Angeles with her two cats and significant other. By day Kerry works for Last Chance for Animals, which she describes as the "FBI of Aanimal Rights".

These little dresses come in 6m, 12m, and 2t, and are handmade by Kerry. We are happy to have another animal lover in the family.

Leila & Ben - new kids on the block.

Leila & Ben is a company out of Canada, by two moms, Heather and Annette. The company started because they love to dress their kiddos in hip, cute clothes, and have a love for design.

I am excited to have these super soft and cozy pants in the shop! They have a modern patch-detail on the bum, and - get this - a neck-tie to match! Oh My Word! as our friend Christina would say!

These come in sizes 12 month, 2t, 3t, and 4t.

New Styles from Scandeez

Connie from Scandeez sent two new styles to add to the line-up - a super cute cherry shoe, and a pretty pink flower! These are made from reclaimed leather, and stay on nice and snug. The tops are plain leather which I love, with a cute surprise on the soles. These styles will be at the Santa Ana location.

10% of her sales go to helping animals. We love that!

Connie lives in the very center of America, in Omaha. She is of Swedish decent, and has a passion for color. 

the Outfit Santa Ana

Friday the Outfit in Santa Ana officially opened. The third floor of the Harveys store is the perfect place for the Outfit. There's a small lounge up there, and Harveys just launched the Little Collection: seatbelt bags made mini for kids. It's a happy child wonderland up there!

There is more merchandise on the way, and waiting to be put into their system before being put out for sale, and we will be adding some bars for hanging, but for the most part, we're there and happy to be there!

1 Girl 1 Boy

I'm really excited to have 1Girl 1Boy in the shop. Stacy and Mark live in Philladelphia, PA

"1Girl is me, Stacy. I design, dye, print and sew. 1Boy is my husband, Mark. He mixes inks, cuts blocks, watches our 2 kids when I need to get things done and most of all he motivates me. 1Girl 1Boy are also our 4 year old daughter & 3 year old son. They exhaust us, challenge us, inspire us and remind us to look with wonder at the world."

the Outfit carries the Seadiver Tees and the Chickadee at our Santa Ana location.  Hopefully we'll grow to carry the entire collection. A lot of people make t shirts, but not many are this spectacular.

Stacy and Mark hand-dye the shirts, cut blocks, hand-print the shirts, sew appliques, and even make cool tags.

They are really one to watch --- a great example of being a mom-n-pop operation, raising the kids, making cool, cool stuff, and being very active in their community. 

Amy Jo's Handmade - Plush Love.

Amy Jo Lyste of North Dakota makes the most cuddliest softest loviest funnest plush collection. Including the Zombie Monkey, which she says everyone has a strange affection for. 

This collection is at our Santa Ana location. There are tooth fairies - a necessity for every 5 year old about to embark on the bizarre rite of losing teeth. Lil Babies are made of chenille, and are large enough to really cuddle into.
